Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè

Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè (/do/ /ˈop˔e/ [indigo] [cannon]) is a subtropical Town located in the Qíîsîrêyê Sêpíêto Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè was founded by Maerdes Dyênhê, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 26°C (78°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 30°C (86°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a pleasant 23°C (73°F). Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè receives an average of 261 cm/y (102 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè covers an area of nearly 5 km² (2 mi²), and an average elevation of 2430 m (7972 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè was founded durring the early 13th century in fall of the year 1229, by Maerdes Dyênhê. The establishment of the new community went well, though many minor issues had to be solved as time went on. This was enough to delay construction and push back the formal opening ceramony, leading to some embarisment for Maerdes Dyênhê.

Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 13th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature masoned stone construction which prominantly features pointed arches, pointed ribbed vault cielings, flying buttress', and window tracery all of which share a simmilar gemoetetic patern halfway between organic and inorganic in design formaing a very distinct aesthetically integrated style. BUildings tend to reach for the havens, and more expencive homes are easily identified by their floor count as well as the addition of decorative features intigrated into the building's design such as statues, gargoyals, and embelished joinery.

Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of broad flagstone streets which form hexical paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè's peasent-grade are in an unremarkable state. To some, this is the ideal sate for defences to be in. In need of absoutly nothing, and ready to serve the town as needed.

Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè has a very calm atmosphere. People can be seen relaxing, scocilizing, and going about all manner of business other than the daily grind. Men, women, children, all can be seen enjoying life in a laid-back way in the many parks which line Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè’s streets. In spite of this, quite a few people can be seen reading and the town has an abundance of libraries. It’s quite clear the community values education.

Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè has a Highwayman's Guild, which is tasked with maintaining the roads and highways leading into town as well as keeping them safe for travelers.

Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè has a monistary of an order of Civil Monks, who provide divine-related services to the general public and maintain Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè's public wards, blessings, and other arcane systems.

Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands.

Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Cultural Notes

Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè's chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by towering round arches, massive stone and brickwork, small windows, thick walls, and a propensity for housing art and sculpture depicting mythological scenes. The building's general shape would be a clever and ascetic combination of geometric shapes, which would be blended together by joining elements. The style's decorative features were largely internal rather than external and incorporated semicircular arches for windows, doors, and arcades; barrel or groin vaults to support the roof of the nave; massive piers and walls, with few windows, to contain the outward thrust of the vaults; side aisles with galleries above them..

Due to the actions of local Kami, spring is short in Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè.

The Human Juju Zombie near Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè are known to be more aggressive than normal.

Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in summer and involves performance art to channel Abjuration energies of tier 3 via recitation of scripture.

Economy

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century a local hero by the name of solved a major long term problem plaguing the town. Mëg-opíe Dêtîkè created a local delicacy in 's honor which is served at festivals.
